A short excerpt of a “How-To” video for a content authoring tool – geared towards absolute beginners of this SaaS content platform – when making content based on software, platforms and portals, my philosophy is to show as close to what the user will see as possible while using highlights to draw their attention to which feature or functionality we may be discussing.
A short clip from my “Basics of Audio Recording” webinar – geared towards beginners who may be recording audio within the SaaS platform. I attempted to structure this webinar with a minimum of technical jargon and focus more on philosophy and a “DIY” approach. I wanted to repeat the idea that just because equipment is expensive doesn’t mean the audio will automatically be good, and that knowing your equipment and recording space inside and out will pay dividends far more than buying the most costly option available.
A project from one of my Graduate classes – meant to introduce us to shot sequences edited together to form a coherent idea. I took a lot of inspiration from the TV show “How It’s Made” but also from my time as a beginner musician who got overwhelmed when trying to change my strings for the first time. I tried to keep the POV very close to what you might see looking over someone’s shoulder as they string your guitar.

This video was originally a “revamp” project as we already had a quick introduction video to the platform, but this update was made as a collaboration with Technical Support. I asked for some assessments on the last six months of tickets submitted, and we were able to cull together a few points of the most frequently asked questions on the platform. This was an informal “101” style video and would then frequently be viewed by users who needed a “just-in-time” tool to upload their content. This became the single most viewed video in the product’s entire training portal!
